KAMPALA, Uganda (Interstat) — Hassan Mubiru’s 58th-minute strike was the difference as SC Villa defeated KCCA 1-0 in a Ugandan Super League match Saturday at Nakivubo War Memorial Stadium.

The result avenged Villa’s October loss to KCCA. The visitors entered the match as statistical favorites but were shut out, unable to capitalize on their superior league record. The tightly contested match defied a pregame projection of a draw, handing KCCA a rare defeat in domestic play this season.

The win strengthens SC Villa’s standing, while KCCA will look to rebound in its next league fixture.
