Express Sports vs Uganda Police FC
Preview: Express Sports Host Uganda Police FC in Key Super League Clash
KAMPALA, Uganda (Interstat) — Express Sports will look to reverse a recent result against Uganda Police FC when the two sides meet in a Uganda Super League match on Wednesday.
The fixture at Wankulukuku Stadium pits a home side in strong form against visitors seeking consistency. Express Sports enters on a high, coming off a 3-1 victory over Uganda Revenue Authority FC on March 14. That win highlighted their attacking potential and marked an uptick from a run of four consecutive draws in league play prior.
Uganda Police FC, however, arrives following a 1-0 home loss to NEC FC on March 13. Their form has been mixed, with two wins, two losses and a draw in their last five league matches. A notable victory in that stretch was a 1-0 win over SC Villa on March 10.
The head-to-head history favors the visitors. In their most recent meeting last October, Uganda Police FC secured a 2-1 home victory over Express Sports.
This season, Uganda Police FC has shown itself capable on the road, with key away wins at KCCA and BUL FC in January, but also suffered heavy defeats, including a 4-1 loss at Vipers. Express Sports has been tougher to beat at home lately, with only one loss in their last five matches in all competitions at Wankulukuku.
According to Interstat’s game simulator, the match is projected to end in a 1-1 draw.
The result could impact the mid-table standings as both teams look to build momentum. For Uganda Police FC, the match begins a busy stretch that includes a trip to Mbarara City on April 16 and a home match against Uganda Revenue Authority FC on April 21.
Express Sports will turn its focus to an away match at UPDF FC on April 15 after Wednesday’s contest, followed by a home game against NEC FC on April 21.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. local time.
