PREVIEW: Express Sports Host Uganda Revenue Authority FC in Ugandan Super League Clash

KAMPALA, Uganda (Interstat) — A tight Ugandan Super League contest is forecast when Express Sports hosts Uganda Revenue Authority FC on Saturday.

The matchup at Betway Mutesa II Wankulukuku Stadium pits two sides seeking momentum in the latter stage of the season. Their most recent meeting ended in a 1-1 draw on Oct. 17, 2025, suggesting another close encounter.

Express Sports enters the match looking to rebound from a 3-0 away loss to KCCA on Wednesday. That defeat snapped a brief unbeaten run in league play. Coach Alex Isabirye’s squad has been defensively stubborn in recent draws against SC Villa and Maroons but has struggled for goals, failing to score in four of its last five matches across all competitions.

Uganda Revenue Authority FC, known as URA FC, arrives with slightly more form, coming off a 1-0 home victory over Lugazi FC on Wednesday. That win provided a boost for coach David Obua’s team, which had been held scoreless in its two prior matches. URA FC’s season has been defined by defensive solidity but inconsistent finishing, with several low-scoring draws punctuating its results.

A statistical projection from Interstat’s game simulator predicts a 1-1 draw, mirroring the result from the teams’ last fixture.

The historical record and current trajectories point to a tactical, potentially cagey affair. Express will aim to leverage home advantage to jumpstart its attack, while URA FC will rely on a defense that has kept clean sheets in three of its last five outings.

Following this match, Express Sports will next host Uganda Police FC on April 8. URA FC’s next fixture is at NEC FC on April 9.
