(Interstat) — KF Tirana opened its 1st Division season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Vora on Sunday at Stadiumi Selman Stërmasi in Tiranë. The result defied pre-match projections that heavily favored the visitors.

Freddy Álvarez gave the hosts an early lead in the 12th minute. Redon Xhixha then sealed the win with two second-half goals, scoring in the 66th and 80th minutes. Vora failed to find a response.

The win gives KF Tirana a winning start in Albanian domestic play, while Vora begins its campaign with a loss. The outcome contrasted sharply with statistical forecasts, which had given Vora a 58.5 percent chance to win and predicted a 2-1 victory for the visiting side.
