Bylis vs Flamurtari

BALLSH, Albania (Interstat) — Bylis opened its 1st Division campaign with a dramatic 2-1 victory over Flamurtari on Saturday, scoring twice in the final minutes to overturn a late deficit at Stadiumi Adush Muça.

The match, a tense and physical affair for much of the 90 minutes, appeared destined for a narrow win for the visiting side until a stunning reversal in second-half stoppage time.

Flamurtari, which had defended resolutely throughout, broke the deadlock in the 83rd minute. Forward Fabjan Perndreca found space inside the penalty area and delivered a clinical finish, silencing the home supporters and putting his team on the brink of an opening-day road victory.

That lead held deep into added time. As the clock ticked past the 94th minute, Bylis mounted one final, desperate attack. The persistence paid off when striker Archange Bintsouka emerged as the late hero, firing home the equalizer to send the home bench into raptures.

The drama, however, was not complete. From the ensuing kickoff, a re-energized Bylis pressed forward and completed the comeback just moments later. Bintsouka struck again, securing his brace and all three points for the home side with what was effectively the last kick of the match.

The result defied the pre-match projection from Interstat, whose game simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw. Their ELO rating system had given Bylis a 64.90 percent probability to win, a forecast the home side ultimately fulfilled in the most dramatic fashion possible.

With the win, Bylis begins its season in the Albanian 1st Division with a perfect record of one win and no losses. The club’s overall record across all competitions also improves to 1-0-0. For Flamurtari, the heartbreaking loss marks a difficult start, leaving them with a record of 0-1-0 in both the league and across all competitions.

The match will be remembered for its frantic conclusion, providing an immediate boost for Bylis and a crushing blow for a Flamurtari side that came within minutes of securing a positive result. The victory gives Bylis early momentum in the league table, while Flamurtari is left to regroup after conceding two critical goals in the dying moments of the contest.
