Milan Edges Torino in Serie A Shootout at San Siro
MILAN (Interstat) — AC Milan outlasted Torino 3-2 in a back-and-forth Serie A match Saturday at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
The visitors struck first in the 36th minute when defender Strahinja Pavlović scored. AC Milan responded with two goals before halftime, an equalizer from substitute Giovanni Simeone in the 44th minute and a go-ahead strike from Adrien Rabiot in the 54th.
Torino’s Youssouf Fofana leveled the match just one minute later, but Rabiot’s goal proved the winner. The result defied a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw by Interstat. Fikayo Tomori received an early yellow card for Milan, while Pavlović was booked later for Torino.
The victory improves AC Milan’s Serie A record, while Torino continues to seek its first league win of the campaign.
