GENOA, Italy (March 8, 2026) (Interstat) — Substitute Evan N’Dicka delivered a goal and an assist to propel Genoa to a 2-1 victory over AS Roma in a Serie A match Sunday at Stadio Comunale Luigi Ferraris.

N’Dicka broke a scoreless tie in the 55th minute. Roma’s Vitinha equalized in the 80th, but N’Dicka then set up Junior Messias for the decisive goal minutes later. The match was contentious, featuring six yellow cards.

The result gave Genoa a winning start to its Serie A campaign, while Roma began its season with a loss. The outcome defied a national statistical projection that had forecast a draw.
