AR-RASS, Saudi Arabia (Interstat) — Giorgos Masouras scored in the 86th minute to salvage a 2-2 draw for Al Kholood against Al Khaleej in a Saudi Pro League match Friday at Ar-Rass Stadium.

Al Khaleej took an early lead through Gustavo Gouveia’s goal in the ninth minute. Abdulaziz Al Elewai equalized for the home side in the 37th. The visitors regained the advantage when substitute Kostas Fortounis found the net, but Masouras, also a substitute, leveled late.

The result left both teams with identical records of zero wins, zero losses and one draw in the Pro League this season. The match featured eight yellow cards, with two issued in the 24th minute. The draw defied a pregame projection that gave Al Kholood a 66.7% chance to win.
