YEREVAN, Armenia (March 9, 2026) (Interstat) — Pyunik delivered a commanding performance to open its First League season with a 3-0 victory over Shirak at Yerevan Football Academy on Monday.

Momo Yansané led the attack with two first-half goals, finding the net in the 7th and 39th minutes. Edgar Malakyan added a third in the 62nd minute to secure the result. Shirak was held scoreless.

The win exceeded statistical projections, as Interstat’s game simulator had predicted a narrower 1-0 outcome. Its ELO system had given Pyunik a 95.2% probability to win. With the result, Pyunik begins its campaign with a win, while Shirak starts with a loss.
