Vora vs FC Dinamo City
VORË, Albania (Interstat) — FC Dinamo City scored twice in a frantic three-minute span early in the second half and then withstood a dramatic stoppage-time reply to secure a 2-1 victory over Vora in a Superliga match Saturday at Stadiumi Vora.
The result, which defied pregame statistical projections, allowed Dinamo City to complete a season sweep of its opponent and halted a brief winless skid.
After a first half devoid of clear chances, the match erupted shortly after the restart. The visitors broke the deadlock in the 51st minute when forward Luis Felipe found the net, capitalizing on a period of sustained pressure.
Before the home supporters could settle, Dinamo City doubled its lead just three minutes later. In the 54th minute, Malomo Ayodeji struck, punishing a vulnerable Vora defense still reeling from the opening goal and putting the hosts in a deep hole.
Vora, which had struggled to create significant opportunities for most of the contest, mounted a desperate push as the match entered added time. Their persistence was rewarded in the fourth minute of stoppage time when André Teixeira scored, setting up a tense finale. However, Dinamo City managed the remaining moments effectively, seeing out the match to claim all three points.
The victory improves Dinamo City’s Superliga record to four wins, three losses and three draws this season. The club now has 12 wins, seven losses and eight draws across all competitions. The loss leaves Vora with just one win in 11 league matches, alongside five losses and five draws. Their overall record across all competitions stands at seven wins, 13 losses and nine draws.
The outcome continued a recent trend for both sides. Dinamo City arrived having won just one of its previous five league matches, a run that included three draws and a loss. Vora’s form has been similarly challenging, with only one win in its last 10 outings across all competitions.
Historically, Dinamo City has held the upper hand in this fixture. This result marks their third consecutive victory over Vora, following a 2-0 home win in October and a 2-1 away triumph in December.
The match result contradicted the pregame analytics from Interstat. The organization’s game simulator had projected a 1-1 draw, while its ELO rating system gave Vora a 66.5 percent probability of winning at home.
Dinamo City will look to build on this road victory when it returns home to face Partizani Tirana on March 9. Vora, still seeking consistency, will travel to face Bylis on March 8 in its next Superliga fixture.
