CASARANO, Italy (Interstat) — Visiting Crotone earned a 2-1 victory over Casarano in a Serie C match Sunday at Stadio Giuseppe Capozza.

Marco Zunno opened the scoring for Crotone in the 53rd minute. Ismael Cajazzo doubled the lead in the 66th. Casarano’s Antonino Musso pulled one back in the 84th minute, but the hosts could not find an equalizer.

The result defied pre-match projections, which heavily favored Casarano. Crotone improved its Serie C record to 16 wins, 12 losses and four draws. Casarano moved to 12 wins, 10 losses and eight draws. Crotone also avenged a loss from earlier in the season.
