GIUGLIANO IN CAMPANIA, Italy (Interstat) — Giugliano Calcio 1928 secured a hard-fought 1-1 draw against Serie C frontrunner Benevento on Sunday at Stadio Comunale Alberto de Cristofaro.

Guglielmo Mignani gave the hosts the lead in the 39th minute. Benevento, which had been heavily favored to win, equalized later to split the points. The result halted Benevento’s momentum after a loss in its previous match and provided a valuable point for Giugliano in its league campaign. Benevento remains among the competition’s top sides this season, while Giugliano continues to navigate the lower half of the table. The draw matched the projection from Interstat’s game simulator, which had given Benevento an 82.3% probability of victory.
