CASERTA, Italy (Interstat) — Casertana delivered a commanding performance Sunday, defeating Audace Cerignola 4-1 in a Serie C match at Stadio Comunale Alberto Pinto. The home side established a decisive lead early, with Stefano Girelli scoring twice in the opening eight minutes. Manuel Llano added a third goal in the 18th minute before Audace Cerignola’s Karlo Butić scored just before halftime. Ludovico D’Orazio sealed the victory for Casertana in the 61st minute. The result defied a pregame projection that favored a draw. Casertana improved its strong league record with the win, while Audace Cerignola’s form continued to be inconsistent.
