MARRAKECH, Morocco (Interstat) — Kawkab Marrakech and Difaa El Jadidi opened their Botola Pro seasons with a 0-0 draw Saturday at Stade El Harti. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored the home side. Interstat’s game simulator had predicted a 2-0 Kawkab Marrakech victory, and its ELO system gave the hosts a 78.8% probability to win. The match was a physical affair, with three yellow cards issued in a four-minute span late in the first half. Substitute Babacar Niasse and midfielders Hamza El Janati and Ismail Mihrab were cited for key performances in the stalemate. Both clubs now hold identical records of 0 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw in league play.
