DUBAY, United Arab Emirates (March 18, 2026) (Interstat) — Al Wasl SC opened its Arabian Gulf League season with a commanding 3-0 victory over Al Dhafra SCC at Zabeel Stadium on Wednesday.

The hosts controlled the match from the start. Midfielder Fábio Lima opened the scoring with a header in the 32nd minute. Forward Ali Saleh doubled the lead in the 51st, and substitute Renato Junior sealed the win with a third goal in the 80th.

The match turned chaotic as Al Dhafra finished with nine men. Gabriel Vareta received a red card in the 53rd minute, followed by teammate Serafim in the 59th. Abderahmane Soussi was sent off in the 89th. Al Wasl’s Rayan Yaslam provided two assists.
