PAU, France (March 6, 2026) (Interstat) — Pau and Bastia opened their Ligue 2 campaigns with a 2-2 draw Friday at Stade Nouste Camp.

Bastia’s Omar Sissoko opened the scoring in the fourth minute, but Pau substitute Joachim Eickmayer leveled nine minutes later. Julien Anziani put the visitors ahead again in the 31st minute. Pau found a dramatic equalizer in the third minute of second-half stoppage time through substitute Christophe Vincent.

The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored Pau. Four yellow cards were issued in a physical second half. Both clubs begin the season with 0-0-1 records in league play.
