FARO, Portugal (Interstat) — Farense scored twice in the final 10 minutes to secure a 2-1 comeback victory over Lusitania Lourosa in a Segunda Liga match Sunday at Estádio de São Luís.

Cláudio gave the visiting side an early lead in the 13th minute. The match appeared headed for an upset until Farense’s João Silva equalized in the 80th minute. André Candeias completed the turnaround with the decisive goal just eight minutes later.

The result improved Farense’s league record to eight wins, 11 losses and two draws. Lusitania Lourosa fell to nine wins, seven losses and seven draws in league play. The outcome defied pregame statistical projections that heavily favored the visitors.
