BIZERTE, Tunisia (Interstat) — Marsa opened the Tunisian Ligue 1 season with a 2-0 road victory over Soliman on Saturday, defying pregame projections.

Playing at Stade du 15 Octobre, the visitors took control before halftime. Yousri Arfaoui broke the stalemate with a header in the 45th minute. Ricky Hans Gneba doubled the lead in the 62nd minute, securing the win with a right-footed finish.

The result was an upset, as statistical models heavily favored Soliman. The win gives Marsa a perfect start in league play, while Soliman begins its campaign with a loss.
