PALERMO, Italy (March 17, 2026) (Interstat) — Palermo and visiting Juve Stabia opened their Serie B seasons with a 2-2 draw Tuesday at Stadio Renzo Barbera in a match defined by late goals and numerous bookings.

The game saw a flurry of second-half action after a scoreless first half. Defender Mattia Bani broke the deadlock for Palermo in the 65th minute, but Juve Stabia substitute Nicola Mosti equalized just eight minutes later.

The match was contentious, featuring 10 yellow cards. The result defied pregame projections, as statistical models heavily favored a Palermo victory. Both clubs begin the campaign with identical records across all competitions.
