Phu Tho vs Dong Nai

PHU THO, Vietnam (Interstat) — Phu Tho hosts Dong Nai on Saturday, June 6, in a Vietnamese Second Division match as both teams aim to solidify their positions in the middle of the table.

Dong Nai enters the contest riding a two-game winning streak. The visitors defeated Vinh Long 3-0 on May 30, following a 1-0 victory over CLB TP Hồ Chí Minh on May 22. That ended a two-match skid in which Dong Nai lost 2-1 at CLB Bắc Ninh on May 8 and earlier dropped a tight decision. Before that, Dong Nai crushed CLB Trẻ TP Hồ Chí Minh 6-0 on May 2 and edged CLB Quy Nhơn United 2-1 on April 25.

Overall, Dong Nai has posted a 6-3-3 record in its last 12 league matches, dating to February. The club has been solid defensively, keeping clean sheets in five of those games, including the 0-0 draw at Dong Thap on April 12 and a 2-0 win over Cong An Nhan Dan on April 4. The team’s only losses during that stretch came against CLB Công An Thành Phố Hồ Chí Minh (1-0 on March 20) and the aforementioned defeat to CLB Bắc Ninh. Dong Nai also drew 1-1 with Quảng Ninh FC on March 6 and opened the season with a 5-1 victory over Dong Thap on Feb. 27 and a 1-1 draw with Cong An Nhan Dan on Feb. 8.

Phu Tho, meanwhile, is coming off a 2-2 draw at Cong An Nhan Dan on May 30. That result snapped a two-match losing streak after a 2-0 loss at Dong Thap on May 22 and a 3-1 home defeat to CLB Bắc Ninh on April 26. Prior to that, Phu Tho earned a 2-1 win at CLB Trẻ TP Hồ Chí Minh on May 16 and a 4-3 victory at CLB TP Hồ Chí Minh on April 10. However, the home side has been inconsistent, also losing 4-1 to CLB Quy Nhơn United on April 3 and playing to a 0-0 draw at CLB Quảng Ninh on March 14. A 2-2 draw with CLB Trẻ TP Hồ Chí Minh on Sept. 26, 2025, rounds out Phu Tho’s recent form.

Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Dong Nai.

The match is scheduled to kick off at a time to be announced. Both teams are looking to gain ground in the Second Division standings as the season approaches its midpoint.
