SOCCER PREVIEW: HANOI VISITS THANH HOA IN V.LEAGUE 1 CLASH

THANH HOA, Vietnam (Interstat) — A V.League 1 matchup between two top-flight Vietnamese sides is set for Saturday, with Ha Nội traveling to face Thanh Hoa. An Interstat game simulator projects a 2-2 draw at Thanh Hoa’s home ground.

Ha Nội enters the match in strong form, having won five of its last six league games. Most recently, Ha Nội defeated SHB Đa Nẵng 2-1 on May 1. The club’s only loss in that stretch came April 4, a 1-0 defeat at Hai Phong. Ha Nội has been prolific offensively, scoring three or more goals in four of its last seven outings, including a 4-2 win over CLB Becamex Thanh Phố Hồ Chi Minh on April 17 and a 3-2 victory at CLB Ninh Binh on April 24.

Thanh Hoa, meanwhile, has been more inconsistent. The hosts played to a 1-1 draw at CLB Becamex Thanh Phố Hồ Chi Minh on May 2, their third result in four games without a win. Thanh Hoa’s last victory came April 25, a 1-0 decision over Cong An Nhan Dan. The club has shown defensive vulnerabilities, conceding in three of its last four matches, though it did post a 4-0 shutout of CLB Cong An Thanh Phố Hồ Chi Minh on April 5.

The teams last met Sept. 26, 2025, when Ha Nội earned a 2-1 home victory. Thanh Hoa will be seeking revenge and a return to winning form in front of its home supporters.

Both clubs face challenging schedules ahead. After Saturday, Ha Nội visits Cong An Nhan Dan on May 17. Thanh Hoa travels to face CLB Cong An Ha Nội the same day.
