AROUCA, Portugal (Interstat) — Arouca defeated Nacional 3-0 on Saturday in a Primeira Liga match at Estádio Municipal de Arouca, outperforming statistical projections.

Alfonso Trezza opened the scoring in the 47th minute. Lee Hyunju doubled the lead in the 67th, assisted by Espen van Ee. Dylan Nandín added a third just five minutes later, with an assist from Barbero.

Nacional played a man down from the 51st minute after Chiheb Labidi received a second yellow card. Lee Hyunju, who also received a yellow card, was sent off for Arouca in the 83rd. The result defied a pregame simulator projection of a 1-1 draw, as Arouca secured a comprehensive victory.
