ALVERCA DO RIBATEJO, Portugal (Interstat) — Substitute Fernando scored in the 76th minute to salvage a 1-1 draw for Alverca against Santa Clara in a Primeira Liga match Saturday at Campo Futebol Clube Alverca.

The result defied pre-match projections that heavily favored the home side. Santa Clara’s Marko Milovanović opened the scoring earlier in the second half, assisted by Kaiky Naves. The visitors could not hold on for the road victory, settling for a point that extends their winless league run.

The match featured four yellow cards, issued to Vinícius, Frederico Venâncio, Naves and Steven Baseya. Alverca moved to 5-10-5 in league play, while Santa Clara’s record now stands at 3-13-5.
