OLOMOUC, Czechia (Interstat) — Sigma Olomouc and FC Lausanne-Sport played to a 1-1 draw in a Europa League group stage match Thursday at Andrův stadion, a result that defied heavy pregame projections.

Nathan Butler-Oyedeji gave the visiting Swiss side a lead in the 22nd minute. Danijel Šturm equalized for the Czech hosts in the 58th. The draw left both teams with identical records in the competition: 0 wins, 0 losses and 1 draw. The outcome contrasted sharply with a pregame statistical model that gave Olomouc a 94.9% probability to win. The match featured six yellow cards, including two in the 89th minute.
