Muharraq vs Isa Town
MUHARRAQ, Bahrain (Interstat) — Muharraq looks to halt a recent skid when it hosts Isa Town in the King’s Cup on Monday.
The knockout match at Khalifa Sports City Stadium pits two Bahraini Premier League sides seeking a boost. Muharraq, the home side, enters after consecutive 1-0 league losses, most recently at Al Shabab on Jan. 26. That followed a 3-0 home defeat to Bahrain SC on Jan. 24.
Despite the recent setbacks, Muharraq’s form has been inconsistent. The club’s last 10 matches across all competitions show a mix of dominant wins and frustrating losses, including a 4-0 victory at Sitra on Jan. 6 and a 1-0 win at Al Ahli on Jan. 15, but also heavy defeats to Al Riffa and Bahrain SC.
Isa Town, the visitors, last played a competitive match on June 9, 2025, falling 2-1 at home to Bahrain SC. The lengthy layoff presents an unknown variable regarding match sharpness.
The King’s Cup offers both teams a chance to pivot. For Muharraq, it’s an opportunity to rediscover its scoring touch after being shut out in its last two outings. For Isa Town, it represents a fresh start after an extended break.
Interstat’s game simulator projects a 2-1 victory for Muharraq.
Following this cup tie, Muharraq returns to league play with a congested February schedule, facing Malkiya on Feb. 7 and Bahrain SC on Feb. 20.
Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. local time (1500 GMT) on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026.
