CAPE TOWN, South Africa (Interstat) — CR Belouizdad earned a decisive 3-0 victory over Stellenbosch FC in a CAF Confederation Cup group stage match Sunday at DHL Stadium.

The visiting Algerian side controlled the match, with all three goals coming from substitutes. Mohamed Ali Ben Hamouda opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a left-footed finish. Abdennour Belhocini and Islam Abbaci added late headers in the 80th and 87th minutes, respectively. Abbaci’s goal was assisted by fellow substitute Lotfi Boussouar.

The win improves Belouizdad’s record in the competition to 3-1-1, while Stellenbosch falls to 1-2-1. The result completed a two-game group stage sweep for Belouizdad over the South African club after a 2-0 win last week. Four yellow cards were issued in a physical match.
