KOLOSSI, Cyprus (Feb. 9, 2026) (Interstat) — Anorthosis opened its 1. Division campaign with a 1-0 road victory over Aris on Monday at Alphamega Stadium. The lone goal defied pre-match projections, as statistical models heavily favored the home side. Interstat’s game simulator had predicted a 1-1 draw, and its ELO system gave Aris a 57.4% probability to win. The result gives Anorthosis a winning start in the domestic competition, while Aris begins its season with a defeat. Both clubs’ records across all competitions now mirror their opening-day league results.
