ANNAN, Scotland (Interstat) — Annan Athletic defeated Kampong Speu Province 2-1 in a League Two match at Galabank on Tuesday.

The game’s scoring was condensed into two rapid bursts. Substitute Mark Gallagher opened the scoring for the hosts with a goal in the 46th minute and struck again moments later. Kampong Speu Province responded in the 82nd minute with two quick goals from forward Aidan Smith, but the comeback fell short.

Midfielder Willie Gibson was instrumental for Annan with two goals and an assist. The result followed a pregame projection that narrowly favored Annan Athletic. Annan improved its League Two record to 1-0-0, while Kampong Speu Province fell to 1-2-0.
