AS-SUWAYS, Egypt (Interstat) — Second-half substitutes Mounder Temine and Salah Mohsen scored Thursday to propel El Masry SC to a 2-0 victory over El Gouna in an Egypt League Cup match at As-Suways Stadium.

The visitors avenged a loss to El Gouna from earlier this month. Both goals came after the break, securing the win on March 26, 2026. El Masry improved its tournament record to four wins, one loss and two draws. El Gouna’s competition mark fell to four wins, two losses and three draws. The result defied a pre-match statistical projection that heavily favored the home side. The teams will meet again in a rematch Monday.
