Soroksar avenged a 2-1 loss at Ajka on Nov. 9, 2025, in the teams’ previous meeting. The result also provided a measure of redemption for Soroksar after a 0-0 draw at Honved II on April 27 and a 3-1 defeat at Vasas II on March 22. Ajka entered Sunday’s match on a three-game unbeaten run in league play, with draws at Mezokovesd-Zsory and Kozarmisleny bracketing a loss at home to Tiszakecskei LC.

The win was Soroksar’s second in its last three league matches, following a 2-1 victory at Budafoki MTE on April 19 and a 1-1 draw at Fehervar on April 11. Ajka had not won since an April 5 shutout of Karcagi SC, and the team managed only one goal in its previous three league outings before Sunday.

Soroksar next visits Csakvari TK on May 10 and then hosts Kecskemeti TE on May 17. Ajka returns home to face Szeged-Csanad on May 10 before traveling to Vasas II on May 17.

Interstat’s game simulator projected a 1-1 draw, while its ELO system gave Soroksar a 66.90 percent probability to win.
