SZEKESFEHERVAR, Hungary (Interstat) — Barnabás Barkóczi and Bence Pethő scored second-half goals to lift Vasas II to a 2-0 victory over Fehervar on Sunday in an NB II match at MOL Aréna Sóstó.

Barkóczi broke the deadlock in the 76th minute, and Pethő doubled the lead in the 87th. Vasas II, which also won the teams’ previous meeting 2-0 on Nov. 3, improved to 18-5-4 in the league this season. Fehervar dropped to 10-8-8.

The victory extended Vasas II’s strong run; the club has won its last three NB II games and four of its past five across all competitions. Fehervar had won its previous league match but could not generate enough offense Sunday, managing no goals on home turf.

Across all competitions, Vasas II now holds a 30-9-12 record, while Fehervar stands at 14-9-12. The two teams are scheduled to meet again later this season in the NB III.
