BUDAPEST, Hungary (Feb. 22, 2026) (Interstat) — Budafoki MTE began its NB II campaign with a 2-0 victory over Csakvari TK at Promontor Utcai Stadion on Sunday. The home side defied a pre-match projection that favored the visitors, controlling the match from the early stages. Márió Németh opened the scoring in the 19th minute, providing a lead Budafoki would not relinquish. Máté Gyurkó added a second goal in the 65th minute to secure the three points. The result gave Budafoki a winning start to the season in Hungary’s second division, while Csakvari TK begins with a defeat. The outcome contrasted with a statistical simulator’s prediction of a Csakvari win, though an ELO rating system had given Budafoki a slight edge to prevail.
