LLANELLI, Wales (March 13, 2026) (Interstat) — Briton Ferry opened its Welsh Premier League season with a 2-0 road victory over Llanelli Town on Friday at Stebonheath Park. The visitors defied a pre-match projection that favored a high-scoring draw.

Ricky Owen gave Briton Ferry an early lead with a goal in the eighth minute. Ollie Anderson sealed the victory deep in second-half stoppage time, scoring in the 90+3 minute. The result handed Llanelli Town a loss in its league opener. Interstat’s pre-game simulator had projected a 2-2 draw, and its ELO rating system gave Briton Ferry a 55.2% probability to win.
