MANAMA, Bahrain (Interstat) — Al Khaldiya SC delivered a commanding performance on the road Friday, decisively defeating Bahrain SC 4-1 in a Premier League match at Madinat ’Isa Stadium.

The visitors established their dominance early and never relented, overwhelming the home side with a relentless attack that defied pregame projections. Interstat’s game simulator had forecast a 1-1 draw, while its ELO rating system gave Al Khaldiya a 66.5 percent chance of victory. The actual result proved far more lopsided.

Al Khaldiya set the tone within the first quarter-hour. Joël Beya opened the scoring in the 8th minute, rising to meet a cross and powering a header past the Bahrain SC goalkeeper. Just five minutes later, the lead was doubled when Mateus Totô found space and finished with a right-footed shot, putting the hosts in a deep early hole.

Bahrain SC struggled to muster a response against Al Khaldiya’s organized pressure. The visitors added a third goal before halftime, with Adem Taous cutting inside to strike a left-footed effort into the net in the 34th minute, effectively putting the game out of reach before the break.

Any hope of a second-half comeback for the home team was extinguished on the hour mark. Dominique Mendy replicated Beya’s first-half feat, scoring with a header in the 60th minute to extend Al Khaldiya’s lead to 4-0.

Bahrain SC managed to avoid a shutout, finding a consolation goal in the 82nd minute. However, it was Beya who had the final say, restoring the three-goal margin just moments later with his second of the afternoon, a right-footed finish that finalized the 4-1 scoreline.

The victory gives Al Khaldiya a perfect start to their Premier League campaign, moving their season record in the competition to 1-0. Their overall record across all competitions also stands at 1-0. For Bahrain SC, the loss marks a disappointing beginning, as they open their league and overall season with an 0-1 record.

The match underscored Al Khaldiya’s potent offensive capabilities, with four different players contributing to the scoring in a comprehensive away victory. The result immediately establishes them as a force in the early league standings, while Bahrain SC is left to regroup after a difficult opening afternoon in front of their home supporters.
