Late Kalulu Header Salvages Draw for Juventus Against Lazio
TORINO, Italy (Interstat) — Pierre Kalulu’s header in the sixth minute of second-half stoppage time secured a 2-2 draw for Juventus against Lazio in a Serie A match Sunday at Allianz Stadium.
The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored Juventus. Lazio’s substitutes sparked a rapid two-goal surge just before halftime. Pedro scored in the 45th minute, and Gustav Isaksen followed just two minutes later.
Weston McKennie pulled one back for Juventus in the 59th minute, setting the stage for Kalulu’s dramatic equalizer. The defender’s goal, assisted by fellow substitute Kenneth Taylor, came from a set piece deep into added time.
Both teams opened their Serie A campaigns with a draw and remain unbeaten. Lazio’s Taylor and Juventus’s Alessio Romagnoli received yellow cards during the match.
