SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates (Interstat) — Leonel Wamba’s header deep in stoppage time delivered a dramatic 1-0 victory for Baniyas SCC over Al Bataeh CSC in an Arabian Gulf League match Friday at Khalid bin Mohammed Stadium.

The decisive goal came in the third minute of added time, assisted by defender Ruan Santos. The result snapped a three-game league losing streak for Baniyas. Both teams entered the match with identical 3-9-1 league records. The contest was physical, featuring three yellow cards, including one for Santos and another for Baniyas substitute Nemanja Djeković, who also recorded an assist.
