ABŪ ẒABĪ, United Arab Emirates (Feb. 5, 2026) (Interstat) — Al Wahda FC and Al Bataeh CSC played to a 2-2 draw Thursday in an Arabian Gulf League match at Al Nahyan Stadium. The result defied pre-game projections that heavily favored the home side. Álvaro Felicíssimo opened the scoring for the visitors in the 14th minute before Omar Khribin equalized for Al Wahda before halftime. Abdulla Hamad put Al Bataeh ahead again in the 65th minute, but Al Wahda substitute Mohammad Juma Eid secured the draw with a 77th-minute goal and an assist. Both teams now hold 0-0-1 records to start their league campaigns. The match featured three yellow cards in a tense final 20 minutes. Interstat’s pre-game model had given Al Wahda an 82.7% chance to win.
