AJKA, Hungary (Interstat) — Kazincbarcika defeated Ajka 1-0 on Wednesday in a Nöi Magyar Kupa match at Ajkai Városi Sportcentrum.

The lone goal secured the road victory, defying a pregame projection that favored Ajka. The result improved Kazincbarcika’s record in the competition to 2-0, while Ajka fell to 2-1 this season.

Kazincbarcika, which has struggled in overall competition with seven wins, rebounded from a loss last Friday. Ajka has now lost two consecutive matches across all competitions following the cup defeat.
