LEÓN, Spain (Interstat) — AC Bilbao W outlasted Cultural Leonesa 4-3 in a high-scoring Copa del Rey Juvenil match Tuesday at Estadio Municipal Reino de León.

The visitors built a commanding lead with two goals each from Iván Calero and Gorka Guruzeta, including three in a frantic 12-minute span. Cultural Leonesa mounted a late comeback attempt, but fell short.

The match was contentious, featuring a red card for AC Bilbao W’s Aitor Paredes in the 56th minute and five yellow cards issued in the second half, including three in stoppage time. Substitute Oihan Sancet contributed a goal and an assist in the win.

The result defied pre-match projections, which heavily favored the home side. AC Bilbao W opens its tournament campaign with a victory.
