SFAX, Tunisia (Jan. 21, 2026) (Interstat) — CS Sfaxien opened its Tunisian Ligue 1 season with a commanding 4-0 victory over Bizertin on Wednesday at Stade Taïeb Mhiri. The result far exceeded statistical projections that heavily favored the home side.

Iyed Belwafi opened the scoring just four minutes into the match. Defender Ali Maâloul added a goal just before halftime. Omar Ben Ali scored on a free kick in the 52nd minute, and Willy Onana sealed the dominant performance with a goal in the 81st minute. Bizertin failed to find the net.

The win gives CS Sfaxien a 1-0 start in league play, while Bizertin begins its campaign 0-1. Pre-game analytics gave Sfaxien a 96.3 percent probability to win but projected only a 1-0 final score.
