RADÈS, Tunisia (Jan. 22, 2026) (Interstat) — Club Africain opened its Tunisian Ligue 1 season with a commanding 3-0 victory over rival Eto du Sahel on Thursday at Stade Hammadi Agrebi. Forward Firas Chaouat delivered a stunning hat trick to power the home side. He opened the scoring with a right-footed strike in the 41st minute, added a headed goal in the 73rd and completed his trio with another right-footed finish just three minutes later. The result defied pre-match projections, which had favored the visitors. Club Africain begins the campaign with a win, while Eto du Sahel starts with a loss.
