LIBERIA, Costa Rica (Feb. 15, 2026) (Interstat) — A late strike from Ariel Rodríguez gave Deportivo Saprissa a 1-0 victory over Municipal Liberia in a Primera División match Sunday at Estadio Edgardo Baltodano Briceño.

The decisive moment came in the 85th minute when Rodríguez found the net, securing the win for the visiting side. The result defied the pre-match projection from Interstat, whose game simulator had forecast a 2-1 Saprissa victory and gave the club a 55.6% probability to win.

With the result, Saprissa begins its league campaign with a win, while Municipal Liberia starts with a loss.
