ENSCHEDE, Netherlands (Interstat) — Twente opened its Eredivisie campaign with a 2-0 victory over Feyenoord on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at De Grolsch Veste.

The home side defied a pregame projection of a 1-1 draw from Interstat’s simulator, controlling the match after a first-half stoppage time breakthrough. Midfielder Kristian Nökkvi Hlynsson scored in the 45th+1 minute to give Twente the lead.

Forward Sondre Ørjasæter added a second goal in the 72nd minute, securing the three points. The result gave Twente a winning start to the league season, while Feyenoord began with a loss. Interstat’s ELO system had given Twente a 93.2% probability to win the match.
