SITTARD, Netherlands (Interstat) — Fortuna Sittard and NAC Breda played to a 1-1 draw in their Eredivisie season opener Sunday at Fortuna Sittard Stadion.

Kristoffer Peterson opened the scoring for the visiting side in the 56th minute. Substitute Mohamed Nassoh leveled for Fortuna Sittard in the second minute of stoppage time. Peterson and NAC Breda’s Shawn Adewoye received early yellow cards, as did Fortuna’s André Ayew later.

The result matched the projection of Interstat’s game simulator, though its ELO system had heavily favored the home side with a 91.10 percent win probability. Both clubs begin the league campaign with a draw.
