SETIF, Algeria (Interstat) — ES Setif rallied from a two-goal deficit to draw Paradou AC 2-2 in an Algerian Ligue 1 match Thursday at Stade du 8 Mai 1945.

Paradou AC forward Merouane Zerrouki scored twice in the first half, finding the net in the 10th and 51st minutes. ES Setif’s comeback began with a 60th-minute goal from substitute Mohamed Islam Abdelkader. Fellow substitute Mohamed Guidoum secured the point for the home side with an 85th-minute equalizer.

The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored ES Setif. Paradou AC’s Abdellah Bendouma received a yellow card in the 20th minute. Both teams remain in the middle of the league table with the draw.
