OSWESTRY, Wales (Jan. 6, 2026) (Interstat) — Ryan Brobbel’s 81st-minute goal broke a deadlock and secured a 2-1 victory for The New Saints over Bala Town FC in a Welsh Premier League match Tuesday at Park Hall Stadium.

The hosts took a quick lead when Rory Holden scored in the 51st minute. Bala Town responded immediately, with Nelson Digbeu equalizing just two minutes later. The match remained tied until Brobbel’s late decisive strike.

The win strengthens The New Saints’ league position with a record of 16-3-0. Bala Town’s struggles continued, falling to 5-11-5. The result defied a pre-game statistical projection that heavily favored the home side.
