Frankfurt, Leipzig Women Draw 2‑2 in Dramatic Bundesliga Stoppage-Time Finish

LEIPZIG, Germany (Interstat) — Eintracht Frankfurt Women and RB Leipzig Women played to a 2-2 draw in a Frauen-Bundesliga match Sunday at Trainingszentrum RB Leipzig Platz 1.

The visitors took a two-goal lead before halftime with Laura Freigang and Erëleta Memeti scoring in the 24th and 48th minutes, respectively. Leipzig defender Lisa Baum cut the deficit to 2-1 just five minutes later.

The equalizer came deep into stoppage time when defender Victoria Krug scored in the fourth added minute. The result defied pregame projections that heavily favored Frankfurt.

Four players received yellow cards in a physical second half. Both clubs open their league campaigns with a draw, moving to 0-0-1 records.
