LUSTENAU, Austria (Interstat) — Austria Lustenau began its 2. Liga campaign with a commanding 3-0 victory over Rapid Wien II on Friday at Sun Minimeal Arena. The home side controlled the match from the outset, with forward Lenn Jastremski opening the scoring in the 15th minute. Defender Robin Voisine doubled the lead just before halftime in the 48th, and midfielder Nico Gorzel sealed the win in second-half stoppage time. The result defied a pregame projection that forecasted a closer contest. Rapid Wien II’s challenge was hampered by numerous yellow cards, with eight issued throughout the physical match. The win gives Austria Lustenau a perfect start to the domestic season.
