ISTANBUL (Interstat) — Ömer Ali Şahiner scored in the 87th minute to give Rams Başakşehir FK a 2-1 victory over Fatih Karagümrük SK in the Turkish Süper Lig on Saturday.

Eldor Shomurodov put the hosts ahead at Başakşehir Fatih Terim Stadium in the 15th minute. David Datro Fofana, a second-half substitute, equalized for the visitors in the 75th. Şahiner secured the win late, assisted by fellow substitute Matías Kranevitter.

The result improves Başakşehir’s league record to 7-6-5. Karagümrük, which has lost 13 of 18 league matches, falls to 2-13-3. The outcome defied a pregame statistical projection that heavily favored Karagümrük to win.
