BARNSLEY, England (Interstat) — Barnsley and Cardiff City opened their League One campaigns with a 1-1 draw Tuesday at Oakwell Stadium.

Cardiff City substitute Rubin Colwill opened the scoring in the 11th minute, assisted by fellow substitute Dylan Lawlor. Barnsley forward Scott Banks equalized 11 minutes later. Lawlor received the game’s only yellow card in the 43rd minute.

The result left both teams with an 0-0-1 record in the league and across all competitions this season. The draw aligned with a Interstat projection, though its ELO system had favored Cardiff City with a 67.6% win probability.
